Tim Bartlett, 66, Syringa

Timothy Michael Bartlett, 66, died Aug. 30, 2012, of a heart attack at his Syringa, Idaho, home.

Tim was born Nov. 12, 1945, at Lewiston to Theron Arthur and Lucille Gertrude (O'Reilly) Bartlett. Tim grew up in Lewiston, was raised as a Catholic and attended school at St. Stanislaus, Jenifer Junior High and graduated from Lewiston High School.

He attended the University of Idaho in Moscow, where he played football. He married Mary Carolyn Rauch June 17, 1966, in Lewiston.

Tim worked as an office manager, and that took them to jobs in Lewiston and Spokane until they were able to retire to Syringa.

Tim worked for Zirbel Transport, Erb Hardware, Garrett Freightlines and Yellow Freight.

Tim loved backpacking, camping and cycling, but was very proud that he was able to help build their new house at Syringa.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Theron and Lucille Bartlett; parents-in-law, George and Alice Rauch; and brother-in-law, Duane St. Marie.

Tim is survived by his wife, Mary Bartlett, at their Syringa home; daughter Jill Christine Bartlett of Spokane; son Dennis Patrick Bartlett of Seattle; sisters Patty Taylor of Moscow and Sharrol St. Marie of Lewiston; and brothers- and sisters-in-law Judy and Chuck Haney of Winchester, Eric and Donna Rauch of Girdletree, Md., Fred and Trudy Rauch and George and Linda Rauch of Lewiston.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Private services will be conducted with Tim's nephew, the Rev. Mike St. Marie, officiating. Trenary Funeral Home of Kooskia is assisting the family.

After graduating from Lewiston, I attended the University of Idaho fro two years. In 1966 I married Mary Rauch in Lewiston, we moved to Spokane in 1968 when I went to work for Garrett Freightlines.

I attended the UofI for two years, then got married to Mary Rauch in June of 1966. I worked in Lewiston for two years until October 1968, when I moved to Spokane to take a job with Garrett Freightlines, where I have been employed ever since.
